Clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter for steam – Converter FSJ FUJI ELECTRIC

Ultrasonic steam flow measurement

Fields of application

Renewable energy: district heating, metal, paper and cardboard, food and pharmaceuticals (in-line sterilization and cleaning processes), thermal energy: boiler auxiliaries (combustion air preheaters, heat exchangers).

Key Features

  1. Installation is simple, fast, economical and safe
  2. Reliability and accuracy of measurements
  3. Maximum flexibility and a wide range of applications
  4. Early detection of steam leaks
  5. Process monitoring and corrective actions
  6. Low maintenance and operating costs
  7. Designed to last in harsh industrial environments

This clamp-on (non-intrusive) ultrasonic flow meter enables steam flow to be measured without having to cut the piping. It used to be difficult to measure the steam flow used in plants in various industrial sectors, but this flowmeter can now be installed even when the equipment is running. We have developed an ultrasonic sensor capable of measuring steam with high sensitivity, as well as a new method of noise reduction, both of which we have integrated into this ultrasonic flow meter to measure steam flow with great accuracy, even at very low pressure (from 0.1 MPa (G))*.

Note 1) or at very high temperatures (up to 180°C).

Note 1) The (G) in the MPa (G) unit indicates gauge pressure (relative to an atmospheric pressure of 0).
